XTERRA Guam Results
Three wins in a row for Gardner and Bucher.
In a repeat of the Tagaman Triathlon, and XTERRA Saipan, Sam Gardner (UK) and Renata Bucher (SUI) won XTERRA Guam, making it three wins in a row.
Bucher was second overall (2:52:07), winning the women’s division with an 18:11 swim, 1:44:47 bike, and a 47:49 run. The USA’s Shonny Vanlandingham was second (2:55:11), and Saipan’s Mieko Carey (3:00:43).
Gardner was first overall (2:43:55), swimming 16:34, biking 1:38:10, and running 47:40. Japan’s Taro Shirato was second (3:07:33), and Guam’s David Spelger, in the men’s 40-44 category was third (3:08:28).
