XTERRA Canada Events Announced

XTERRA fans in Canada have plenty to be happy about this year. On top of offering the XTERRA Canada Championships at Whistler, B.C. on Sunday September 5^th – an event that offers qualifying spots for the XTERRA World Championship in Maui on October 24^th, XTERRA Canada will host 11 other events in 2010.

Sunday May 9

XTERRA Alberta Off Road Festival – Canmore, AB
Sunday August 15

Canada Olympic Park XTERRA Series – Calgary AB
(Mountain Bike / Snowshoe / Trail Running Combinations)
Always on a Saturday and races will be between 1-2 hours long in duration.

April 24, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20, December 18.

There was supposed to be an XTERRA Winter Triathlon at Mount Norquay, Banff, Alberta on Sunday March 21^st but due to a Wildlife Corridor study, Parks Canada is no longer able to grant permission for the use of the Mount Norquay access road for the event.
