Wu and Hotchkiss win Ironman 70.3 Taiwan

O'Halloran 10th, Lopez 3rd, Tsai 9th

Australia’s Michelle Wu used the fastest 1:30:24 half marathon to take the win (4:34:58) from fellow Aussie Belinda Granger (4:41:26). New Zealand’s Rachel Challis finished third (4:44:17). Meanwhile, in the men’s race, the UK’s Jonathan Hotchkiss rode the top 90 km split (2:13:34), and then added a 1:24:56 run to take the win (4:09:51) over New Zealand’s Jamie Whyte (4:10:59). Spain’s Marcel Zamora ran the fastest split (1:23:06) of the day to get third (4:11:10).

Canadian Age Groupers Wendy Lopez placed third in the women 30-34 category (6:06:53), while Ming-Chang Tsai ranked ninth among men 35-39 (5:17:44).
