Where do Canada’s top triathletes train in the winter?

Canada’s top triathletes like to follow the sun for their winter training, but many spend just a few weeks out of the winter in a warm destination.
We assembled a list of Canada’s top short and long course triathletes and mapped where they head for training camps over the winter.

We discovered that many of Canada’s triathletes also stay in their hometowns for the winter, braving the cold for their outdoor workouts when not using the treadmill or trainer.
Well… That was EPIC!! Would much rather do 4h on my fatbike than on the trainer even when it's crazy cold outside! pic.twitter.com/UbL4ca4yyN

The most popular destinations show up on the map as red heat spots. Many of Canada’s top triathletes live in BC and the Halton region in Ontario. Top training camp destinations were Clermont, Florida, Utah and Australia, where several canucks train with the Wollongong Wizards.
