Find out why Findlay won't race in Sydney.

Canadians will be chasing down hopes for a London Olympic berth at the ITU World Triathlon Series race in Sydney on Saturday April 14. You can catch all the action at CBC.ca. Check out their broadcast schedule for details.

Edmonton’s Paula Findlay, who already has her spot locked down for the London Olympics, is still hampered by her hip injury suffered last year and will not race in Sydney.

“Right now Sydney is out of the plan, and I’m taking things day by day. I had a cortisone shot last week and it seems to really be working, I can run pain free. Now I don’t know how long it will last, or if it will even be a solution, but I’ve decided that part of this battle is mental. I need to believe it will work and be really smart about my training and decision making over the next 15 weeks,” said Findlay on her blog.
