Vanessa Fernandes to miss the London Olympic Games
She plans to compete at the 2016 Games.
Reuters reports that Portugal’s Vanessa Fernandes (photo from triathlon.org), the 2008 Olympic triathlon silver medallist, will not compete at this summer’s London Olympic Games.
Virtually unbeatable on the ITU circuit from 2005-2007, the multiple ITU Triathlon and Duathlon World Champion was quoted as saying that this Olympics is out of the question and her plan is to be back for the 2016 Olympic Games.
