USA Triathlon Finalizes 2013 Regional Championships and Special Qualifiers

Races after July 29 qualify for the 2014 National Championships.

USA Triathlon has determined the events in each of its 10 regions that will serve as the 2013 Regional Championships and Special Qualifiers, which provide athletes the opportunity to qualify for the 2013 USA Triathlon Olympic-Distance National Championships.

The top 33 percent of each age group at Regional Championships and Special Qualifiers contested prior to July 29 will automatically qualify for the 2013 USA Triathlon Olympic-Distance National Championships, which will take place Aug. 10 in Milwaukee, Wis. Regional Championships or Special Qualifiers held after July 29 will qualify athletes for 2014 Olympic-Distance Nationals.

Florida: St. Anthony’s Triathlon (April 28, St. Petersburg, Fla.)
Mid-Atlantic: New Jersey State Triathlon (July 21, West Windsor, N.J.)
Mideast: Epic Races (June 30, Grass Lake, Mich.)
Midwest: Omaha Triathlon (July 21, Omaha, Neb.)
Northeast: Mass State Triathlon (July 14, Winchendon, Mass.)
Pacific Northwest: Portland Triathlon (Sept. 22, Portland, Ore.) – Qualifier for 2014 Nationals
Rocky Mountain: Boulder Peak Triathlon (July 14, Boulder, Colo.)
South Midwest: Route 66 Olympic-Distance Triathlon (June 2, El Reno, Okla.)
Southeast: Memphis in May Triathlon (May 19, Memphis, Tenn.)
Southwest: California International Triathlon (June 30, Pleasanton, Calif.)

Mid-Atlantic: Rock Hall Triathlon (June 1, Rock Hall, Md.)
Mideast: Leon’s Triathlon (June 2, Hammond, Ind.)
Rocky Mountain: Echo Triathlon (Date TBD, Coalville, Utah)
South Midwest: TriWaco Olympic-Distance (July 28, Waco, Texas)
