Triathlon Canada reveals National Championship events

Canadian triathletes will have the opportunity to test their fitness against the nation’s best from the grassroots to elite level as Triathlon Canada officially rolled out its 2012 line-up of National Championships in a number of race disciplines.

The following are dates and events for each national championship in Canada for 2012:

Elite National Championships – Edmonton Triathlon Festival – July 8
(*Will be a sprint distance race in 2012, and only open to ITU race eligible athletes)

Age Group Olympic and Sprint National Championships – Edmonton Triathlon Festival – July 8

Under-23 National Championships (Olympic Distance) – Magog Pan American Cup – July 21

Long Distance Triathlon National Championship – Magog, Quebec – July 22

Duathlon Age Group National Championships – Toronto Triathlon Festival – July 22

Teck Junior National Championships – Apple Triathlon, Kelowna, B.C. – August 18
(*There will also be a PanAm Cup race in Kelowna on August 19)
