Sanders and Gollish are National Duathlon Champions.
Duathlon – served as the 2012 Canadian Duathlon Championships
Lionel Sanders of Hamilton was crowned the National Champion with a 31:47 10 km run, 59:02 40 km bike, and 21:21 5 km run** (time adjusted due to running past the turnaround) – total time 1:53:19. Toronto’s Sasha Gollish earned the women’s National title with her run too. She opened with a 39:07 run, biked 1:09:07, and finished with a 20:55 run to win in 2:10:19.
Olympic Triathlon
Chris Nocera of the USA won the men’s race with a 19:05 swim, 59:13 bike and 34:05 run for a total time of 1:54:18. Kristen Marchant of Newmarket took the women’s race with a 22:30 swim, 1:10:58 bike, and a run of 39:12 to win in 2:14:46.
Sprint Triathlon
Gatineau’s Julien Maynard won the sprint triathlon in 1:01:29 (10:30 swim, 30:36 bike, and 18:39 run). Hamilton’s Jillian Wyman clocked 1:06:43 (10:24, 35:09, and 18:41) to win the women’s race.
