Toronto Triathlon Festival News
The upcoming Toronto Triathlon Festival (July 11-13, 2014) features a number of exciting developments and a chance for past participants to receive a discount from 2014 entry fees.
Take a look at the key announcements below:
Exclusive Three Day Registration Window for Previous TTF Participants (Mon. Dec. 2 to Wed. Dec 4)
• Race organizers want to say “Thank You” in the form of an exclusive three day discounted registration window to secure your spot for the 2014 TTF.
If you competed in 2012 and 2013, please use promo code “TTF12and13” to guarantee your spot and receive 15.0% off regular prices.
If you competed in either 2012 or 2013, please use promo code “TTF12or13” to guarantee your spot and receive 7.5% off regular prices.
• Exclusive window opens at 7:00 am (EST) on Mon. Dec 2, and closes at 11:59 pm (EST) pm on Wed. Dec 4
Exclusive Two Day Registration Window for “Friends of the TTF” (Thurs. Dec. 5 to Fri. Dec. 6)
• Invite a friend to have their own “TTF Moment” with you. By providing the promo code “TTF_Friend”, you will empower someone special to conquer downtown Toronto with you.
• Your friend will be eligible for early registration to secure their spot before registration opens to the general public on Sat. Dec. 7th.
• Exclusive window opens at 7:00 am (EST) on Thurs. Dec 5 and closes at 11:59 pm (EST) pm on Fri. Dec 6.
The 2014 TTF Weekend to Host The Pan Am Games Test Events
• The Toronto Pan Am Games has asked the TTF to run the Official Triathlon Test Events.
• On Sat. Jul. 12, 2014, the day before the TTF Age Group Races, you will see National Team, elite triathletes from around the world, compete in downtown Toronto.
Adding Only 200 Registration Spots Over Last Year’s Totals
• Last year, there were 1810 athletes. Due to the complexity of adding the Pan Am Games Test Events to the TTF Weekend, there will only be the addition of 200 (or so) registration spots – an increase of only 10%. As a result, early registration is strongly recommended.
Selected TTF Race Improvements for 2014… More to Come…
• Swim course familiarization opportunities on the Saturday of the TTF Race Weekend.
• Swim warm up opportunities before the Sunday Races.
• Further distance to first turn on the swim course to reduce congestion.
• Enhanced distance markers on highways for the bike course.
• More port-o-potties (apologies again).
• Addition of an Elite Wave for both the Age Group Sprint and Age Group Olympic Races.
