Mighty Mags is Back! The ever smiling pro has been steadily making her way back to the top of her game following a series of injury set-backs that were nowhere to be seen today in Miami. Just a few weeks after winning Silverman, Tisseyre fought through a competitive field which included former world champion Leanda Cave.

Not surprisingly, the US’s Amanda Stevens lead the swim followed closely by Lauren Goss and then a second group lead by Tisseyre, trailed by Laurel Wassner and Cave.

Onto the bike Tisseyre would push the pace posting the fastest split of 2:16:53. Goss, Stevens and Cave were right on her heels. Onto the run however, no one could match Tisseyre’s blazing 1:20:09 half marathon. Lauren Goss was the closest finishing 3:30 behind her with a 1:23:39. In the end Tisseyre would win by a comfortable margin of four minutes in a time of 4:06:38. Goss held on for second in 4:10:18 and Stevens took third in 4:13:57. Cave was fourth in 4:18:12.

Only 1:31 separated first place from fourth in the men’s race which saw Michael Raelert the eventual winner in 3:46:47. Just 29 seconds behind him was Australia’s Richie Cunningham in second and the Ukraine’s Viktor Zyemtsev in 3:38:11 for third. David Kahn of the US missed the podium by seven seconds finishing a close fourth in 3:48:18.
