Canadians dominated the women’s race at Ironman 70.3 Boise today.

American Annie Warner led the way for the women out of the water (26:07), but Canada’s Magali Tisseyre took control of the race during the bike with a 2:23:06 split, and ran a race best 1:24:25 to stay in front to take the win (4:18:28) over fellow Canadians Heather Wurtele (4:20:41) and Rachel McBride (4:22:14).

The outcome of the men’s race was determined by the end of the bike ride. Fellow American Nicholas Thompson ran a race best 1:13:46 half marathon to claim second (3:54:48), and Penticton’s Jeff Symonds had the second best run of 1:14:12 to finish third (3:55:26).
