Print editor of Triathlon Magazine Canada, Kevin Mackinnon, is at this year’s edition of Challenge Roth – the 35th year of triathlon in the Bavarian city. Ahead of the race weekend, Mackinnon was able to sit down with Canadian Rachel McBride to discuss her season so far and her hopes for July 7th.

This year’s race has once again attracted a star-studded line-up, including Lucy Charles, Laura Philipp (withdrawn due to injury), Sarah Crowley, Laura Siddall, Anja Ippach, and defending champion Daniela Bleymehl.

On the men’s side, Bart Aernouts, David McNamee, Braden Currie, Matt Russell, Andy Potts and Cameron Wurf are all expected to race the Challenge Family full-distance race in Roth on July 7th.
