On March 21st, the 2026 T100 Triathlon World Tour will open on the beaches of the Gold Coast, Australia, with a $275,000 USD prize purse.
Under the current qualification structure, the field is composed of the top 10 athletes in the 2025 T100 Standings and the top five athletes from the 2025 T100 Contender Rankings. Rankings are locked based on PTO standings as of February 2nd, 2026. In total, 15 women are confirmed, with discretionary wild card spots still to be allocated.
Reigning Champion Leads the Line
Headlining the field is 2025 T100 champion Kate Waugh, who now begins her title defence on the Gold Coast. She is joined by Julie Derron who finished second in the series last year, 2024 series champion Taylor Knibb, and home favourite Ashleigh Gentle.
The depth continues with Ellie Salthouse, Lucy Byram, Holly Lawrence, Sara Perez Sala, Hanne De Vet, Megan McDonald, Marlene De Boer, Alanis Siffert, Daniela Kleiser, Lotte Wilms, and Natalie Van Coevorden.
With fewer races per gender on the 2026 T100 calendar – just four regular-season events for men and women, with three counting toward final series standings – the stakes are higher than in previous years, and deep fields are all but guaranteed. This makes the Gold Coast opener especially significant, not just as a standalone race, but as a defining early marker for the season ahead.
