Sunday’s 28th St. Anthony’s Triathlon

On Sunday May 1^st, the 28^th edition of St. Anthony’s Triathlon will take place in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Part of the new 5150 Triathlon Series, and with $65 000 US in prize money up for grabs, a speedy professional field will contest this non-drafting Olympic distance race.

The men’s field features Cameron Dye (defending champion), Greg Bennett (Olympian and six-time World Cup champion), Andy Potts (Olympian and Ironman 70.3 World Champion) Matt Reed (2007 and 2008 St. Anthony’s Triathlon Winner), Bevan Docherty (Olympic bronze medalist), and Kris Gemmell 9four-time ITU World champion).

The women are headlined by Sarah Haskins (Olympian and defending champion), Laura Bennett (Olympian and four-time ITU World Championship medalist), Michelle Jones (seven-time St. Anthony’s Winner and former Ironman World Champion), Becky Lavelle (Ironman 70.3 champion), Annabel Luxford (four-time ITU World Cup Winner), and Rebeccah Wassner (2009 St. Anthony’s winner and two-time New York City Triathlon champion). Montreal’s Kathy Tremblay will also be an on the start line.
