St. Anthony’s 5150 Triathlon Results

Ospaly and Haskins win.

High winds and choppy waters led to a shortened swim at the St. Anthony’s 5150 Triathlon.

The men’s race came down to the run where Filip Ospaly (CZE) ran 30:54 to separate himself from the rest of the field to take the win (1:41:22) over Americans Matt Reid (1:41:36), and defending champion Cameron Dye (1:41:41).

The USA’s Sarah Haskins exited the swim with the lead group of women, and was able to break away during the bike to create a lead that she would not surrender during the run. Haskins ran 35:55 to cross the line in 1:52:28, ahead of Britain’s Liz Blatchford (1:53:07), and American Sarah Groff (1:53:34). Canada’s Kathy Tremblay lost touch with the leaders during the bike but ran her way to 11th (1:57:26).
