Sharpe joins Duffy and Matthews as late additions to PTO US Open field

Big names added to high-powered field in Dallas.

Some big names have been added to the Professional Triathletes Organisation’s US Open start list, including Olympic gold medalist Flora Duffy, Ironman World Championship runner-up Kat Matthews and Canadian Olympian Matt Sharpe, seen above winning Ironman 70.3 Boulder last month. Sharpe has only turned to long-distance racing in the last year and continues to improve after a draft-legal career that saw him compete in Tokyo last year.
