Rev3 announces prize money at amateur competitions

After recently making noise after cutting prize money for pros at their competitions, Revolution3 has announced they will be paying out set amounts of prize money at amateur level races.

At eight of their upcoming races, the company will offer a set prize pot of USD$4,800 to divided up between men’s and women’s races in under 40 and 40+ categories.

“Age groupers are the bread and butter of our race series and want to reward them with opportunities they normally cannot find elsewhere,” said the company’s national race director, Eric Opdyk.

Races where the pizes will be added are Quassy HalfREV, Williamsburg OlympicREV, Wisconsin Dells HalfREV, Maine OlympicREV, Poconos HalfREV, Cedar Point FullREV, South Carolina HalfREV and Florida HalfREV.

Prize breakdown is $500 for winners, $350 to the runner-up, $200 for third, $100 four fourth and $50 for fifth.
