Results from the inaugural Ironman Wales

Jurkiewicz and Moeller win the first titles.

France’s Jeremy Jurkiewicz outsprinted Australia’ Aaron Farlow to take the overall win (9:04:20) at the first Ironman Wales in Pembrokeshire. Germany’s Kristin Moeller charged to the lead on the marathon and won with a final time of 10:01:19.

Canadian’s Otto Ryan (M45-49) and Elisabeth Ruel (W40-44) both finished second in their age group. Ryan finished in 10:45:35, and Ruel stopped the clock at 11:28:31.

Sixty-one year old John Wragg finished his 126th Ironman in 16:19:01.
