Rapp and Ellis win Ironman Texas
Windsor age grouper Brooke Brown placed sixth among all women.
Just like at the 2011 Ironman Canada, the American pair of Jordan Rapp and Mary Beth Ellis both won again as a pair at the second edition of Ironman Texas.
Rapp used a run course setting 2:46:55 marathon to take his fourth career win in 8:11:44. While Ellis put forth a balanced attack in all three sports to set a new course record of 8:54:58. American Caitlin Snow stunned all with her record setting 2:51:47 run to get second. Windsor, Ontario’s Brooke Brown placed sixth overall and won her 30-34 age group (9:47:05).
