Rachel Joyce crushes at Ironman 70.3 Kansas

Great Britain’s Rachel Joyce crushed the field today at Ironman 70.3 Kansas. Trailing out of the water to the USA’s Amanda Stevens (27:10), she asserted herself with a dominant 2:22:10 ride and 1:21:21 run to cross the finish line in 4:13:46, over 22 minutes ahead of Stevens in second (4:36:26), and Kirsten Sass (USA) in third (4:37:32).

Australia’s Clayton Fettell led the swim (25:16) and stayed in front with the top ride (2:09:25), and ran 1:20:36 to take the victory (3:56:59), over Australia’s Paul Ambrose (3:59:33), and American Ben Hoffman (4:00:43).
