One and done for Ironman in New York?

Race director John Korff thinks it's a possibility.

After suspending registration to the 2013 Ironman US Championship in New York, it is quite possible that the race may not return next year.

In an interview today in Bloomberg Businessweek, race director John Korff said that due to the high race entry fee of $1200 (the costs of putting on a race in New York and the profit that needs to be made) that race may be “one and done.”

If it is decided that the race would take place, registration is expected to resume in 4-6 weeks.
