Moffatt and Kahlefeldt win in Geelong

Sweetland gets second, Campbell sixth.

At today’s Australian Elite Sprint Triathlon National Championships in Geelong, Australia’s Emma Moffatt and Brad Kahlefeldt claimed the Championship titles.

Moffatt, the current ITU World Champion, rocked the run to stay ahead of Victoria’s Kirsten Sweetland, and fellow Aussie Emma Jackson, the Under 23 Women’s World Champion. Vancouver’s Lauren Campbell finished sixth.

Here is what Sweetland and Campbell said about their races on Twitter:

“Great hit out this morning. Good battle w/ 2 time world champ, lost it in the end but happy with the early season form! Now its Crepe time.” – Kirsten Sweetland

“6th place today. Disappointed with last 100m of swim, gap of 5″ from front group of 4. Trying not to beat myself up, still moving forward.” – Lauren Campbell
