Mine Over Matter Off-Road Triathlon

This Sunday August 22^nd, Milton will host to one of the few off-road triathlon/duathlon events that Ontario has to offer.

The swim (wetsuits will be allowed) will take place in the spring-fed waters of the Kelso Quarry. The bike portion will take place within Kelso Conservation Area, and the run will follow along various trails of the Niagara Escarpment.

There are three races to choose from. A triathlon consisting of a 1 km swim, 18 km bike, and 7.5 km run, mini tri with a 500 m swim, 7 km bike, and 4 km run, and a duathlon with a 3 km run, 18 km bike, and 7.5 km run.

XTERRA Canada Championship Spots (September 5th, 2010, Whistler B.C) will also be up for grabs. There will be 10 free spots awarded for the top finisher in each race category (top male 30-39, top female 30-39, etc.) with a roll down for each category. Additionally, there will be another 10 discounted spots ($100 each) which will be awarded via a random draw.

Race kit pick-up will be open Saturday August 21st from 2:30pm – 4:30pm and again Race morning August 22nd starting at 6:30am. All race kit pick-ups will be done at the Quarry itself.
