Many will likely be recovering from Ironman World Championship Nice, but all 17 contracted women to race T100 Ibiza
Just six days after Nice, T100 race makes for a tough double for many of the favourites

T100 Ibiza will feature all the contracted athletes “currently racing,” which, on paper, should make for a spectacular day of racing at the next stop of the T100 Triathlon World Tour.
The race, though, takes place on Sept. 28, just six-days after the Ironman World Championship in Nice, which will certainly make for a challenging double for some of the women competing, including defending Ironman world champion Lucy Charles-Barclay, recent world-record-setting Challenge Roth champion Anne Haug (pictured above winning the PTO European Open in Ibiza), 2022 Kona champ Chelsea Sodaro, Germany’s Laura Philipp, Great Britain’s Kat Matthews and India Lee and France’s Marjolaine Pierre.
Provided she’s over the respiratory infection that sidelined her after the Olympics (we’ve been assured it didn’t have anything to do with swimming in the Seine), American Taylor Knibb will return as the favourite for the race after her dominating performance at T100 San Francisco in June. T100 Series leader Ashleigh Gentle, fresh off an impressive win at T100 London, will also arrive in Ibiza as a pre-race favourite.
Taylor Knibb proves once again she’s in a class of her own with huge win at T100 San Francisco
The Ibiza event will also feature the T100 debut appearances of another couple of Olympians – Tokyo gold medalist Flora Duffy and Knibb’s teammate on the silver-medal American relay team in Paris, Taylor Spivey.
The 17 contracted athletes include:
- Ashleigh Gentle (AUS)
- India Lee (GBR)
- Lucy Charles-Barclay (GBR)
- Imogen Simmonds (SWI)
- Lucy Byram (GBR)
