Mals ITU Winter Triathlon World Cup Results

Germany’s Renate Forstner posted top splits in all three events – 6 km run (25:53), 11 km mountain bike (45:59), and 8 km cross-country ski (34:58) to take the women’s title at Italy’s Mals ITU Winter Triathlon World Cup. Her 1:49:20 finish time edged out Sarka Grabmullerova (CZE) by 18 seconds.

Italy’s Tomas Niederegger won the men’s race by putting together to top run (22:17) and bike (33:15). He coasted in with a final ski segment time of 33:20, to finish in 1:30:17, ahead of Austria’s Sigi Bauer (1:31:33).
