Macca wins the Silverman Half

Wolpert and Jawicki take the full Iron distance crowns.

Reigning Ironman World Champion Chris McCormack won the Silverman Half Iron Triathlon yesterday in Nevada. He completed the course, the site for next year’s Ironman 70.3 World Championship, in 4:22:54. Joanne Gilchrist won the women’s race in 5:30:06.

Andreas Wolpert took the overall win in the full Iron distance (10:04:51), while Monique Jawicki finished as the top female (11:32:35). The course is considered one of the toughest on the circuit.
