Lionel Sanders wasn’t happy about his runner-up finish to Jan Frodeno last weekend in Oceanside, California. But the Windsor athlete says it was the best thing that could have happened as he aims to try and improve on his runner-up finish at the Ironman World Championship this October.

Triathlon Magazine Canada editor caught up with Sanders at his home in Windsor to find out what Sanders learned from last weekend’s race and what changes he’s looking to make over the next few months.
