Kristian Blummenfelt Set to Race at Challenge Roth

Challenge Roth

Challenge Roth’s start list just reached another level.

While teasing fans with a creative rollout of one athlete per day over two and a half weeks, race organizers confirmed today that Kristian Blummenfelt will toe the line in Roth this summer.

He joins a field that already includes Kristian Høgenhaug, who has called Roth a long-time bucket list race, Alanis Siffert, last year’s fastest swimmer and podium finisher, and Menno Koolhaas, who returns after being forced to withdraw just before race day in 2025. Also confirmed are Fenella Langridge – famously dubbed the “Queen of Solar Hill” – Arthur Horseau, Denis Chevrot, who is openly targeting a sub-2:30 marathon, Ben Hoffman making his Roth debut, and Frederic Funk, who impressed with a fifth-place finish last year in his first-ever long-distance race.

With Blummenfelt now officially in the mix, excitement around Roth has reached new levels. Known for redefining what’s possible over long-distance racing, his presence has already sparked speculation about record-breaking potential.

Roth is famous for its Tour-de-France-style crowds and unmatched atmosphere, particularly along Solar Hill, and Blummenfelt racing there for the first time only amplifies the sense that something special could unfold.

If the goal was to build anticipation through daily name drops, Challenge Roth has delivered – and then some.
