ITU World Triathlon Championship Tickets Sell Out in Record Time
Audiences for triathlon are growing fast. Today it took under an hour for over 1,000 tickets for the ITU World Triathlon Championship London Grandstand race in London’s Hyde Park to sell out. The event attracts some of the world’s top talent all bidding to become world champion.
A limited number of tickets went on sale at 10am this morning to those who pre-registered for priority purchase. Additional tickets will be released for general sale through Ticketmaster on Monday April 21. Last year’s finishing sprint between Javier Gomez and Jonathan Brownlee made for some intense edge-of-your-seat spectating that’s sure to be replayed this year.
The marquee elite races take part on Saturday May 31 with age group races running the following day.This year’s ITU Championship races will more spectator friendly than ever before. Over the shorter sprint distance races, both elite male and female races will be go back to back,  enabling fans  to watch two world-class sporting events within a tight window.
