ITU San Candido Winter Triathlon European Cup
Russian pair of Surikova and Andreev win.
Yesterday, at the San Candido, Italy, Russians took top spot in both the Elite Women and Men’s races.
Thanks to a dominating bike ride (24:29), Yulia Surikova added a 28:19 run, and a 28:38 cross country ski to take the women’s win in 1:21:26, 3:04 ahead of Italy’s Enrica Perico.
Pavel Andreev covered the course in 1:05:54 (22:31 run, 20:44 bike, 22:39 ski), just 7 seconds ahead of Italy’s Daniel Antonioli.
The race consisted of a 6.6 km run, an 11.5 km mountain bike, and a 9.4 km cross country ski.
