Quebec’s Coteau du Lac ITU Triathlon Pan American Cup race takes place this Sunday June 26th. Check out the details below along with a list of other ITU events taking place this weekend.
12:30 (ET) – Elite Women Start
2:45 (ET) – Elite Men Start
Start mechanism: Pontoon
Swim Conditions: The swim will take place in a closed canal; there is no current and no waves. Athletes will complete 2 laps, exiting and re-entering the water between laps (the first lap will be 1000m and the second lap will be 500m). Athletes will exit the water via a ramp, proceed up a set of steps, and toward the Transition Zone.
Cycle Course: Athletes will complete 6 laps of a 6.66km circuit , cycling on the left-hand side of the road – the course will be closed to vehicular traffic. The course is flat, smooth and well-surfaced; there is one 180-degree turn on each lap. Athletes will cycle past transition on each lap.
Run Course: After exiting T2, athletes will complete 4 laps of an out-and-back course (2.5km each) along a community cycling path. The surface is smooth and flat; athletes will complete a 180-degree turn at the midpoint of each lap. After the fourth and final lap, athletes will finish near the Transition Zone.
