Ironman Wisconsin Preview

The ninth edition of the race goes Sunday.

Sunday’s Ironman Wisconsin will be the first race for professionals to obtain points towards getting a Kona qualifying spot in 2011, and for age groupers, it will be their first chance to vie for 72 available Kona slots.

Former champions, New Zealand’s Gina Crawford (2007 – course record) and the USA’s Hillary Biscay (2008) are the favourites in the women’s field. Germany’s Max Longree head’s the men’s field along with Sergio Marques of Portugal.
