Ironman Florida goes Saturday

Last year Jessica Jacobs (USA) bagged her first Ironman win in Florida last year, and hot on the heels of her Ironman Wisconsin win in September, she is slated to be back to defend her title in Panama City, Florida on Saturday. Top challengers to her title include Germany’s Nina Kraft, and American’s Bree Wee and Kristin White.

Dirk Bockel (LUX), Eduardo Sturla (BRA), and Ronnie Schildknecht (SUI) are expected to do battle in the men’s race but maybe one of the other assembled men can steal their thunder and pull off an upset. Among those is St. Catherines’ Wolfgang Guembel. The professional list is below
