Ironman China and 70.3 China cancelled

After cancelling the swim portion of Ironman China and 70.3 China earlier this week (turning both races into a bike-run duathlon), the World Triathlon Corporation has now cancelled both races citing that the new race format could not get the necessary sanctioning approval from China’s sports officials.

All registered athletes will now get a refund and a free entry into any one of the following races of their choice:
