Ironman 70.3 Melbourne will make its debut on Nov.15, 2020, and will be the 11th Ironman-branded event to take place in Australia and the eighth 70.3.

The race will be based in Catani Gardens, St. Kilda, just 6 km from the city centre, giving it the buzz of the big city while offering spectators easy access to everything the area has to offer.

The course is expected to be both fast and spectator-friendly, at the St Kilda Sea Baths with a one-lap swim in Port Phillip Bay. The bike will then take the athletes through a two-loop, fully closed course along Beach Road, and then the race will finish back at Catani Gardens after the scenic two-lap run along the coast.

General registration for the event will open on Feb.6, 2020, and it will have 40 qualifying slots available for the 2021 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in St. George, Utah.
