Ironman 70.3 UK Results

Graves and Mullan top the podium.

Great Britain’s Philip Graves and Ireland’s Eimear Mullan used strong bike splits to win Ironman 70.3 UK today.

Graves was just seconds down after the swim, but quickly hammered out the top ride of the day (2:29:36) to take a lead onto the run that he would not relinquish. Graves took top spot in 4:19:45, followed by Germany’s Markus Thomschke (4:21:04), and Great Britain’s Mark Threlfall (4:23:51).

Down by over four minutes after the swim, Mullan rode her way up to the front (2:53:38), and ran 1:27:16 to take the win (4:53:33) over defending champion Emma-Kate Lidbury of Great Britain (4:56:23), and Switzerland’s Simone Braendli (4:57:16).
