Ironman 70.3 South Africa Preview

On Sunday, the Ironman 70.3 season kicks off with Ironman 70.3 South Africa.

South Africa’s Mari Rabie, who broke the run course record and overall course record last year, returns to defend her title. Her title defence will face a serious threat since Jodie Swallow of Great Britain, the reigning Ironman 70.3 World Champion, will race on Sunday too.

Victoria’s Jasper Blake, a winner at an Olympic Distance event (Tri Yas) in Abu Dhabi this past weekend, hopes to continue his winning ways at Buffalo City. He will have to battle with last year’s second to seventh place finishers led by James Cunnama (second last year).
