Today’s Ironman 70.3 race in Singapore saw the same winners that topped the podium at the Ironman 70.3 Geelong in February.

Switzerland’s Caroline Steffen finished an impressive ninth overall. Trailing after a 28:15 swim, she had a solid 2:21:45 bike to stay close, then rocked her competition with a race best 1:25:54 run, passing Great Britain’s Jodie Swallow at the 12 km mark to stay in front for keeps.

Australia’s Craig Alexander made it two titles in a row in Singapore. After being fourth out of the water (26:08), he stayed near the front during the bike (2:09:48), then passed the three men in front of him with a race best run of 1:15:31.

The fastest Canadian was 39-year-old Todd Gilmore (5:08:050, who currently lives in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Calgary, Alberta’s Teresa Pagalilauan, 43, was the fastest female (6:23:14).
