Ironman 70.3 Pucon Kick-Starts 2013 Ironman Season

This coming Sunday January 13 in Chile.

On Sunday, one of triathlon’s most prestigious races kick-starts the 2013 Ironman race season. The Ironman 70.3 Pucon joined the Ironman circuit in 2008; however, the race had its start in the infancy of our sport, when the inaugural race was held in 1984.

This year there is highly competitive men’s field assembled to do battle on Sunday. Three previous Pucon champions, Reinaldo Colucci (2010), Daniel Fontana (2011) and Guilherme Manocchio (2012) are all returning and hoping to repeat their winning ways in Chile. The trio will see challenges from five-time Ironman France champion, Marcel Zamora and multiple Ironman and Ironman 70.3 champions Luke McKenzie and Ben Hoffman. Lucus Cocha and Santiago Ascenco will likely be in the mix for a podium placement if on their game.
