Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie Results
Fetell and Lester keep the titles in Australia.
Australia’s Clayton Fetell and Carrie Lester brought home victories at Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie today.
Fetell led from start to finish thanks to a 20:45 swim, 2:11:12 ride, and a 1:19:48 run for a total winning time of 3:53:29. Fellow Australians Tim Reed (3:55:29) and Chris Kemp (3:56:29) took second and third respectively.
Lester came from behind and took over the race lead with a 1:29:27 half marathon to win in 4:28:25. She kept the title away from New Zealand’s Samantha Warriner (4:29:50), and Joanna Lawn (4:32:27).
