Ironman 70.3 Galway Cancelled for 2013
Organizers hope to bring it back in 2014.
In October, Ironman released its 2013 European Race Schedule and at that time Ironman 70.3 Galway was left off the schedule, it was hoped that it would be added later but race organizers confirmed that Ireland’s race is cancelled for 2013.
The race, which took place during the first week of September, faced a funding shortfall in their attempts to stage the race in 2013 despite the financial benefits to the local community and 1600 athletes ready to take part.
