Ironman 70.3 California Preview

One quick glance at the professional start list will tell you that this Saturday’s Ironman 70.3 California race at Oceanside is sure to be a barnburner. World Champions, Ironman Champions, and Ironman 70.3 Champions litter the field.

The big names on the men’s side include Matty Reed, Andy Potts, Rasmus Henning, Chris Legh, Luke McKenzie, Michael Lovato, Ben Hoffman, Maik Twelsiek, Chris McDonald, Jordan Rapp, Bryan Rhodes, Paul Ambrose, and Bjorn Andersson. They will be joined by Canadian’s Jasper Blake, Stephen Kilshaw, Mike Neill, Jeff Symonds, Anthony Toth, and Trevor Wurtele.

Stars also populate the women’s field, highlighted by Ironman World Champion Mirinda Carfrae. She will go head to head with Julie Dibens, Linsey Corbin, Kelly Williamson, Dede Griesbauer, Hillary Biscay, Kate Major, Tamara Kozulina, Mirjam Weerd, Amanda Lovato, along with Canadians Magali Tisseyre, Heather Wurtele, Melanie McQuaid, and Fiona Whitby.
