Ironman 70.3 Austria Results

Swiss cycling star and multiple Ironman champion Karin Thuerig rode the top bike split (2:18:02) and coasted to the win (4:20:34) at Ironman 70.3 Austria.

In the men’s race, Filip Ospaly (CZE) led the swim (24:16) for the pro men, surrendered the lead on the bike to Austria’s Michael Weiss (who rode 2:05:17), but regained the lead with approximately 2 km to go in the half marathon. His top run split of 1:14:07 earned him his second Ironman 70.3 Austria title (3:55:27). Weiss held onto second (3:56:01).
