Ironman 70.3 Augusta Results

The Ukraine’s Viktor Zyemtsev and Great Britain’s Emma-Kate Lidbury came from behind today to win Ironman 70.3 Augusta titles in Georgia.

Trailing American Kyle Leto and three others after the bike, Zyemtsev ran a race best 1:13:20 to snatch the championship in 3:47:15. Leaving fellow Ukrainian Maxim Kriat to settle for second (3:49:34), and Australian Tim Berkel for third (3:51:54). Calgary’s Grant Burwash finished eighth (4:02:41).

Lidbury passed American Heather Jackson thanks to her women’s best run of 1:27:49 to win in 4:19:31. American Amanda Lovato also overtook Jackson on the run to finish second (4:25:54), and Jackson held on to third (4:28:30). Toronto’s Cindy Lewis finished 13^th (4:52:22).
