Introducing the Niagara Falls Half Iron Triathlon

The inaugural race goes September 21, 2014.

MultiSport Canada, producers of the largest Canadian owned Triathlon Series in the world, announced the introduction of the Niagara Falls Half Iron Triathlon today.

The inaugural race is set to take place on Sunday September 21, 2014.

The point-to-point race, starting in Welland and finishing at Niagara Falls, features two transitions and it will be flat and fast – certainly a course suited to establishing a personal best time.

The race starts with a 2 km swim in the clean and calm Welland recreational canal, transitions to the flat and fast 90 km bike from Welland to Kingsbridge Park in Niagara Falls, and concludes with a two-loop 21.1 km run that takes runners past the American and Canadian Falls twice.

The new race will be separate from the MultiSport Canada Triathlon Series.
