Indoor Tris Growing in Popularity
Momentum is growing for indoor triathlons and with the winter fast upon us the super sprint style races offer an exciting way to boost fitness. Ironman has joined Life Time Fitness in a ‘Commit to Tri’ campaign for 2015. The new campaign grows out of the Life Time Fitness quest to inspire one million workouts across the US during its Commitment Day Festival.
Between January 1 and 4, select Life Time clubs will produce a 60-minute indoor triathlon that is open to athletes of all abilities from beginner to experienced. The Commit to Tri campaign also offers several different ways to win slots to the 2015 Ironman or Ironman 70.3 World Championship, or a Life Time Tri Series race.
The Indoor Triathlon Workout powered by Life Time Tri Series and Ironman takes place on January 4, 2015. The 60-minute event will feature a 10-minute indoor pool swim, a 30-minute indoor ride and a 20-minute treadmill run. All participants who register for and attend the Indoor Triathlon Hour Workout receive a training shirt, swim cap, race bib and discounts at Ironmanstore.com. In addition, all are eligible to enter for a chance to win one of three slots to the 2015 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria or, one of five slots to a Life Time Tri Series race.
