How to watch Super League Malibu
With the World Championships out of the way, this weekend's race features a stacked field of the world's best short-course athletes

After a bit of a scare that this year’s race wouldn’t be happening, the Malibu Triathlon and the Super League Triathlon Championship event will be happening this weekend. This is the third of four races in the Championship series, with the final taking place in Neom on Oct. 21.
After last weekend’s world championship event in Pontevedra, a who’s who of short-course racing is in Malibu to compete in the Eliminator event – three rounds of swim, bike, run with the last three athletes at the end of each round eliminated (along with anyone who is 90 seconds behind the leader).
The men’s field includes Olympic gold medalist Kristian Blummenfelt along with Tokyo relay gold medalists Alex Yee and Jonathan Brownlee. Added to the competitive list are last year’s champion Hayden Wilde, 2022 world champion Leo Bergere and American Olympians Ben Kanute and Morgan Pearson.
Beth Potter runs to world title and World Triathlon Championship Finals win
The women’s field includes world champ Beth Potter, Cassandre Beaugrand, London and Toulouse Super League Championship winners Jeanne Lehair and Kate Waugh, American Olympian Katie Zaferes, Taylor Spivey and Emma Lombardi.

Super League Triathlon also owns the Malibu Triathlon, which is set to host 3,500 athletes for the races at Zuma Beach. The race has already generated more than US$1 million for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
