Hauschildt and Petreus win Challenge Laguna Phuket Triathlon

Denmark’s Rasmus Petreus and Australia’s Melissa Hauschildt captured the overall wins at the inaugural Challenge Laguna Phuket Triathlon today in Thailand.

Hauschildt had an impressive and dominating day. She swam 31:07, ripped into the lead with the top ride of 2:29:14, and she ran the top women’s split of 1:27:35 to finish in 4:30:29. This allowed her to finish 9th overall!

Petreus, along with Italians Alberto Casadei and Alberto Alessandroni set the pace during the swim to get out in front early and managed to stay there with the best three rides on the day. Once on the run, Petreus ran away from Casadei and Alessandroni with a 1:20:12 half marathon to secure the victory in 4:05:06.
