Final chance to register for the World Duathlon Championship
Deadline is March 8 to join Triathlon Canada’s Age Group Team for Ottawa.
Friday, March 8th marks the last day interested age group duathletes can register for Triathlon Canada’s Age Group World Duathlon Championship team!
Athletes who did not compete at one of the qualifying events last season can register for a spot on the team via Special Application.
The 2013 ITU World Duathlon Championships will be held in our Nation’s capital, Ottawa after Segovia (Spain) withdrew as host city. Approximately 1500 athletes will travel to Ottawa from August 7th to the 12th for the Duathlon Championships.
The course promises to be fast, flat urban course in either the standard (10km run – 40km bike – 5km run) or sprint (5km run – 20km bike – 2.5km run) distance duathlon. Athletes will be expected to arrive in Ottawa no later than Thursday August 8th to allow time for registration and World Championship Opening Ceremonies, Canadian Team function and photo.

2013 World Duathlon Championships

1) Click HERE or visit www.triathloncanada.com and select “World Championship Registration” (2nd link from the bottom)
2) Complete the online application form – be sure to select “Special Application” when prompted.
3) Pay the appropriate Special Application ($150), Team ($150), and Uniform Fee ($275).
4) The Race Entry Fee will not be debited from your account, it will simply be a “hold” until the exact amount is determined
5) Once complete, send in a copy of your race resume to Joyce Chiang – agegroupteams@triathloncanada.com. Your race resume should highlight your duathlon, running, and cycling experience.
